The presidency: reflection
In this prezi, "The Presidency", my group and I discussed about the roles of the President, President succession and the Vice President, and the Framer's Plan. I was asked to set up the prezi and organize my group member's work. My group and I split up the chapter into four parts. One person per section and the longest section was split between two people. We each read our sections and took notes/ summarized into paragraphs. I took the notes from each of my group members and organized it into a prezi powerpoint. This assignment was important because my group taught the class what U.S presidency was about. Presenting the prezi made it meaningful to me because not many people understand the U.S presidency. I did not know the steps of the presidential succession. I now understand the ten steps and what it takes to become president of the United States.
supreme court cases assignment
In this assignment, Mr. Chavez assigned the class to search up two important court cases. I searched up one court case about freedom of religion and another about freedom of speech. In this assignment, we were asked to write a background about the court. We also had to write down what was the decision of the court, the rationale for the decision, and effects. In order to find these information needed for this assignment, Mr. Chavez took the class to the lab so we could research our court cases. This assignment was important because these court cases had changed our society. Without these court cases, things wouldn't be how they are now. Gaining knowledge and more information about our government made it meaningful to me. I now know that even though schools have their own policies about the dress code, students should still have the rights to express their freedom of speech.
